In Greek mythology, Naiads were one of a number of types of nymph.
They were often portrayed as young and beautiful female sprites, although
they were mortal. Naiads were water spirits, presiding over springs,
fountains, ponds and rivers. They were also regarded as goddesses
of marriage, sacred rites, and websites lacking somewhat in content. |
